Future Plans

Our next release is going to be a s/t 10", if any labels are interested in helping release this feel free to contact us. We have 5 songs written towards it so far, so this post is a bit overzealous (as per usual). Trying to generate some potential label interest here...the big plan is to have this out by spring in time for a week excursion with our friends Sick/Tired (who will have a new LP of their own out by then).

Alive and Well

Our first show back with our new guitar player Will Mcevilly will be on October 6th at 1719 W Albion, Chicago w/ Men as Witches, Winters in Osaka, and Parasitic Twins.  We will have copies of our white vinyl repress of the s/t EP.

Water Torture

Hello to all, so our split with Consent is not happening anymore.  Instead, those tracks are being put towards a split with Water Torture.  For further explanation please refer to Diseased Audio site, if you care to know exact details.  Record will be sent to the plant as soon as we get our masters back this week.  Tentative release date will be a Nov. 23 show that both bands are playing here in Chicago.  Here is a track from Water Torture's side of the record, their first recording as a three piece...

Our s/t 7" EP is being repressed on Diseased Audio.  White vinyl, limited to 300 copies.  Keep your eyes peeled.  Oh yeah and we have a show booked in November.

Not Dead Yet

A song from the upcoming split with Consent has been posted: We are working in a new guitar player and will be starting fresh, no shows for a while though.  Split 7" should be out by August.

Decadent Days

Our guitar player is leaving the band after our next show, which will result in an indefinite "hiatus" until further notice.  The initial plan is to forge onward and replace our beloved Mike but if it becomes too much of a task or just isn't working out in a way we'd like then we might not come back at all.  Only time will tell.  The good news is we will be recording the final 3 songs written with Mike (who has been in the band since day one) later this week.  They will be going on the split 7" with Consent, and will be released regardless of whether or not it is done in a posthumous fashion.  I'm not the type to make a big spectacle out of a last show or anything (which is why there is no mention of it on the flier) but if you haven't ever seen us play live and would like to do so then this show may very well be your last chance, so come on out regardless of what the future holds for SEA OF SHIT:

Spring/Summer happenings

We have a few shirts left in the "Hands" design, probably going to discontinue said design after this batch is gone.  In terms of our s/t 7", PRGNT Records is almost (if not entirely) sold out of their copies.  Basically, that means the only source for getting these in the U.S. is either direct from us or through my distro.  We plan on recording three new songs in late April for the split 7" with Consent and then doing another mini tour at the tail end of the summer (probably heading eastbound again).  As per usual, there will be some sparsely scattered local shows strewn about here and there, one of which being this...

Unrelated NEWS: The "U.S. Bestial Forces" 3xCD digipak comp is finally out on L.White Records.  This comp features the last ever recorded CONSTRICTIONS track (for those unaware, CONSTRICTIONS was a short lived power electronics project that Aaron and I did with Omar from Socially Retarded/Machismo/Consent a year or so ago).  You can obtain the comp HERE.

Next up...

We have begun writing for a split 7" with CONSENT (newish pv from Chicago w/ ex members of this band and that band).  Judging by the way things have been moving lately this might actually come out sooner than later, plus I will be releasing it on my own label in hopes of furthering along the process in a more timely fashion.  Consent have only played two shows thus far but they just finished recording a rather impressive demo that i assume will be posted online somewhere soon.  Aside from that release no major plans for us, we have three shows booked...March 15th, April 5th, and May 1st, all in or around the general vicinity of Chicago.  Check shows section for updates/info on those.
