Vehicular Stagnation

As most of you know, I run Diseased Audio by my lonesome.  I am doing a cross-spamming attempt here to try and generate some funds for the recent vehicle problems our band has run into, yet again, for the millionth time.  The transmission on our van is shot, and needs to be replaced completely.  If you've ever dealt with this then you know it's an expensive endeavor.  If you feel compelled to help out you can do so by buying some records at diseasedaudio.storenvy.com or buying digital downloads of releases at diseasedaudio.bandcamp.com , same concept goes for seaofshit.bigcartel.com and seaofshit.bandcamp.com as well.

P. S. We have our next release fully written, just need to tighten the songs up some more and then hopefully record in the next month or so . Midwest weekend with Disrotted in January is coming together.  Details soon on that...

Hibernation

We aren't playing any shows for a while, just going to spend time writing for our next release.  There are still copies of our 2nd press 10" available through Diseased Audio, as well 20 copies of the Bitter Cold comp left too, and a few shirts.  That is all for now.

It Is What It Is

Put our recent tour tape up on the bandcamp page for those who might be interested...



The first three tracks on this tape were recorded in our drummer's basement by ourselves, they are essentially rehearsal/demo versions of songs that will inevitably be re-recorded properly for our next release. The noise track, "Merging", was recorded separately as a collab effort between Will and Mike (referred to solely as McEvilly and Golen on the j-card). That track will live and die on the B side of this tape, never again to be rehashed for any future release...this was all done spontaneously as a last-minute effort to have some sort of new material to take on the road with us for our 2014 west coast tour. About 50 tapes were made, dubbed on a home stereo and sold on said tour...it is what it is.

This will most likely be the last local show we play for a while, we're gonna go into hibernation a bit to finish writing/recording our next release.  Maybe we'll rear our ugly heads again sooner than later, only time will tell.

Closure

Tour is over, we made it back safely and had a swell time.  Apologies to anyone who was looking forward to our Oakland date, we had to cancel due to our van breaking down in Vegas and not being able to fix it quickly enough to make the 8 hr drive to the gig in Oakland.  Some day we hope to make it out there...all leftover goodies have been put up in the bigcartel, seaofshit.bigcartel.com.

Also, here is a video of our set in Los Angeles.  Many thanks to all who helped make that show possible, it was one of the best gigs we've ever been a part of.

Resolution Pt. II

Problem solved, four months later.  All replacements have been mailed out as of two days ago.  If for some reason you never receive a new record to replace your erroneous "clicking" one, shoot us an email and we'll get it handled in some way.

Close Watch

We recorded a new track, "Close Watch", for the BITTER COLD 7" comp that our friend Graem from Mellow Harsher/SFN is organizing. Won't be posting any sort of stream/preview of said track but keep your ear to the ground for when that drops. Other bands submitting tracks (that we know of) are Sick/Tired, Scaphe, LIFES, Mellow Harsher and Milorganaut. A few Great Lakes area bands essentially commiserating over the worst Midwest winter we have ever endured.

No Coast

We have a slew of Midwest shows slated for the coming season, no more/no less until we get our West Coast tour planned out for the summer.  Check the appropriately labeled "Shows" section of this blog for dates and details.  

Resolution

Two months later, we are finally getting replacement copies of the clear smoke 10" sent to us in the mail, it's been quite the struggle the whole way but resolution is in sight...apologies to those who pre-ordered and ended up having to wait the longest out of anyone to get a copy of this, and apologies to those who initially got sent a not-so-good "clicky" sounding copy (even if you don't give a shit about it, it bothers us knowing they are floating around out there).  With that being said, these records will all be mailed out to those who ordered on Friday and Saturday.  I am paying out of pocket to send out over 50 packages of replacement records to those who got erroneous ones.  I'm not looking for any sort of handout but if you are feeling sympathetic to the cause maybe a buy a download of a release off of the Diseased Audio bandcamp page, or scoop up some tangible goods from the Diseased Audio web store.

In other news, we have been writing for some sort of future release.  What that is we don't know yet, but one finished song is in fact going towards a compilation that we will reveal further details about when they arise.

EDIT: I SPOKE TOO SOON...received the "replacement" copies of the clear version of this and they just sound exactly the same, if not worse, than the initial erroneous copies.  New stampers are now being ordered and I am getting sent ANOTHER box of 100 copies of the clear smoke 10" next week.
